volunteer opportunities

These able-bodied volunteers will assist with unloading/loading the trailer, hand carrying the 140 panels and framework, building/dismantling the frame and panels, and assembling/disassembling the Mobile Education Center. Volunteers must be able to work outside in any condition for 6-8 hours. Rain or shine, heat or cold, the exhibit must be set up/taken down. Some volunteers will need to climb, swing a sledgehammer, or carry heavy panels.

These display volunteers are our community's connection between the exhibit & our visitors. They are required for the entirety of the exhibit (24/7, rain or shine). Duties can involve helping with names, photos, event ceremonies, parking, name rubbings, answering questions, host/hostess, mobile education center, or various other tasks.     

No matter what the volunteer task performed, the display volunteers are essential to our success.

MANDATORY VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION

 will be on Wednesday, June 7 at 

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

It will be at 922 West Republic Road, Springfield, MO.
